A torsoless harrowed can still talk because he uses the magical energy of
the manitou to simulate any functions needed (speech, motion, vision).
Technically none of his systems physically work any more (his eyes can no
longer transer electrical signals to his brain, so he shouldn't be able to
see), it's all done with arcane energy.

Here's one: If the harrowed (and anyone else) can hear the manitou
squirming around inside his torso (where the fluttering heartbeat comes
from), how can the head live if it's been cut from the torso and therefore
the manitou?
