[HOE] favorite fiction & miniatures

Morning gang,

Thanks to everyone who posted back to my initial "favorite books" question. 
Now I've got a couple more for the assembled masses.

Does anyone use miniatures in their Hell on Earth game? I don't see any HOE 
minis on Pinnacle's web site. Does anyone know of a source for appropriate 
figures?

Secondly, what are some of the list's favorite in-theme fiction? Are there 
favorite authors who help capture a post-apocalyptic theme? One of my 
favorite's is Walter Miller's A Canticle for Leibowitz, especially the 
first and second parts, Fiat Lux and Fiat Homo (I might have the order wrong).

And hell, since we're at it, what movies do you (plural) watch to get you 
into that Wasted West mood?
