To clarify, harrowed can only be killed by a maiming wound to the head.
How you handled harrowed and walkin' dead with 5 wounds to the guts
depends on the kind of game you are running/in, and how easy the posse
is dealin' with it's enemies.
For me, if I don't care one way or the other, or the posse is beat up or
low on ammo, then maimed guts is the end of it for the deader. It may
still be wiggling around, but I decide that the players can just walk
around it, or shove a knife thru it's head later. There's a definite
lack of mobility with no torso bits left... However, if I feel like a
bastard I'll have the arms/shoulders/neck/head attack anyone that stands
near enough. The left over deader bits might also try to escape, if it
would P.O. the players <evil grin>.
If the head is destroyed, then that the end. Otherwise, the head and
anything attached to it still work. Not as well, but it still works...
At least in my game. YMMV.
