RE: [HOE]

To my way of thinking, a "maiming" wound to the guts is as much about the insides of a person being sliced and diced and mixed-up as much as it is about missing large chunks of that section of the body.  Since undead get to ignore wound modifiers, because they feel no pain, I give zombies and walkin' dead 10 wounds to the guts before they are "incapacitated" due to not enough bits to support themselves.  I give them wound penalties starting at 6 wounds (-1).  At 10 wounds, they can wiggle the rest of their body, but they're not a serious threat (-5 wound penalty).  Similarly, since harrowed ignore 2 levels of wound modifiers, harrowed in my game can go to 7 wounds in the guts before being completely useless, and at 7 wounds have a full -5 modifier.

Subject: [HOE]

Hi,

Iīve got a general question concerning undead. The rulebook says about harrowed that they can only put down with a maiming wound to the head or a maiming wound to the guts. OK, but then there are the walking dead. "Monsters, Muties and Misfits" states that undead have a focus. The focus of walking dead is the head and it reads, that they can fight on even with a maiming wound to the guts. So what happens if the wound level reaches 5 in the guts of a walking dead???
Is he down or not. Can he move only his arms and head or what? I donīt know......
