So far it has been civil,
But hey, If you disagree with me..

YOU'RE JUST A BIG POOPY PANTS!

But so far I enjoy this discussion.
And here is why I'm going to buy the d20 HoE Book. The systems are so different, that a pure transfer will not work, there will be a lot of extrapolation that will end up being new ideas.

A rethinking of things. Reading the Doomsayer prestige class told me that it was overhauled, and so will templars and junkers. Classes will be given new abilities, and maybe Black Hats will be able to shoot better than the piddly 3d8 HoE gives them.... naaaah... It's more fun if they can't hit squat.

I predict the book will be filled with things that, though they wouldn't have worked in HoE system, in D20 they work just fine.

Admittedly, if I had to pick a standardized system, I'd choose Feng Shui (the goblin swings a sword at your Ninja, dice are rolled once. and you swing back to smash him and his best friend, again, one die roll). But other systems aren't bad. I can even think of a gaming sourcebook or two that work better when converted to another system (Pretty much anything by the Rifts people).
