All in all, this is a great argument, but even if the book says one way or the
other, the writers have always tended to say, the final call is up to the
Marshal. Players have to let the Marshal's make the decision in the end, and
Marshals have to remember that players should have fun, all in all. If the
Marshal says he's gone, even if the book says he's not, he's gone. Now a good
Marshal should let you make a case in hoping for reversal in decision ... and
should consider the impact on party dynamics, and player happiness, but none
of these have certain results. As much of a bummer as it is, it's always been
my experience as a player that it's time to make a new character, showing the
other players what can happen to them next.
