Yeah, I like the ABs when they fit a character concept.  My secondary
charactr is a gearhead named metalhead that wouldn't touch any of that magic
stuff with a 10-foot pole.  My weird west character's a reporter who loves
to write about the weird stuff, but can't get his mind around the concepts.
I think that the issue of giving non-AB characters came up already, though,
and the biggest argument was that to have an arcane background required
usually half of your character points to begin with.  Ah, well.
