[HOE] (HOE) MARSHALS ONLY!! New Evil Idea (MWAH!)
SPOILER SPACE (Players Git!!)
Okay, so I was at work and I had an evil idea concerning 5 Grit. I know
it's been brought up before but I think Hell on Earth needs its own special
version of the Los Diablos. Cause let's face it, gang, most PCs can take an
AV 2 Size 10 armored bull without breaking a sweat, especially if they are
an Arcane Background. So, here's what you do instead of the same old bull.
By the time someone gets to 5 Grit they have become a pain in the Reckoner's
collective butt, so the Reckoners spend a little mojo on them. They whip up
a doppleganger. What this means is you snag their character sheet or you
should have it written up in your Marshal's Log. You photocopy it. You send
them after themselves. My rationale for this is PCs aren't gonna skimp on
themselves. Most players will min-max their character to hell and gone and
if they've lasted long enough to gain 5 grit, they should be fairly badass.
Make the Bad Ash to their Good Ash, for example. Oh and just as an added
bonus, the doppleganger has all of thier powers, guns, cyborg devices, power
armor, relic swords whatever. And only the PC who has 5 Grit can affect the
doppleganger. And the Fear check for facing an Evil version of yourself
should be about 11. Yeah, yeah, I know you don't get the cumulative fear
checks for the bull or the ghostly herd, but who cares? The rest of the
posse can be occupied with spending chips to help out or wasting
ammo/Strain/effort trying to help kill the baddie. Another evil thought is
you have the doppleganger strike at night and then require cognition checks
from everyone to determine which one is the real PC. :) You get to use the
PC against his/herself and that should be worth it. I'm gonna try it out on
my new posse and see how it goes. Let me know how it goes cuz I think it's a
novel approach.
