Thanks for the info. Me and the
other Marshal (we alternate adventures) have been going back and forth over
this for a while. Now we have an
answer. So Thanks again.

Questions
At 04:01 PM 1/22/2003 -0600, you wrote:
Fighting if defending:
If a
martial artist is right next to a creature that was trying to shoot him with a
rifle does the martial artist have to add in the creatures fighting brawlin or
is there only an adjustment as a defensive bonus due to the size of the weapon.
The Fightin': Brawlin (Or Martial Arts, or Weapon) should be used. Try
this, get a broom, have a friend try and hit you... do you stand there?
Or do you use the broom as a defensive weapon? And if you suck at
Fightin': Cleaning Utensils, will you drop it to use your 3D12 Brawling?
Martial
Artist Damage:
Is it
possible for a Martial Artist to use something (ie brass knuckles) when
fighting to do extra damage with the maneuvers? Can a Junker build a
device ( special gloves or boots) that add extra damage and would this apply in
addition to the Str + 1d6 damage of the Martial Artist or must all attacks be
made with bare hands or feet with the exception of regular gloves or foot ware?
Brass Knuckles should probably be used to turn Wind into Wound Damage. IE: Roll
3D10 for your character's STR, but use it as Wound checking instead of
subtracting it from Wind. As Martial Artists can already do this, it is
of little use to them (All those years of Fire and Ice harden the hands into
Brass Knuckles).
However, a Nokode (or other "Battle Glove") is a Fightin'
ability. You can devise information on the new weapon and style based on
the Martial Arts Info found in Hexarcana or The Maze... or on the basic
Brawling maneuvers.
All of this is in my own opinion, and I am not trying to sell you a new
book. Just how I would handle it.
