Perhaps a nasty former mad scientist who has transformed into some sort of 
abomination or servitor that reflects the bioweapon(s) he or she designed.

Sort of sounds like you might be looking at a "Resident Evil" type scenario 
here as well - possibly the facility is run or partially run by an AI that 
continues to operate even though the facility's staff is long since dead or 
transformed.

The posse might be forced to contend with the AI, which insists on following 
quarantine and security protocols, which may include containment or 
"cleansing" of potentially contaminated areas or people.  Meanwhile the 
aforementioned mad scientist gone monster and hordes of plague zombies and 
transformed lab animals can plague your posse.

Just two cents from yours truly, mind you...

My posse decided they'd like to head down to Shan Fan to look into a biotech 
company that produced some of the material used in the creation of the E. 
Pustule Rens virus (from the "Infested" dime novel) as well as another 
bioweapon research facility in Louisiana (from my own adventures).  Shan Fan 
is in the middle of a maelstrom, and has a large mutant gang that rules the 
area.  When they eventually get to the biotech facility, what type of 
nastiness should they have waiting for them?  I'm thinking that this biotech 
company has been supplying material for bioweapons for all of the C.S.A., so 
I'm thinking of having a fairly nasty servitor of Pestilence here.  Anybody 
have some good ideas for a storyline around this?
