[HOE] Interesting Character Concept..
Hey, I've had this character bouncing around my head ever since I first
listened to "Chatterbox" on GTA 3. Does this sound at all interesting to
you guys? Esecially since, knowing me, i'll take it pretty far if people
like it. I'll explain that once I've told you 'bout the character.
Matthew Hazelwood had the nickname "hazmat" since long before the war, the
reason being that he was a radio DJ and that seemed like a logical nickname.
In particular, he was the night and early morning DJ, so he alone was in the
station when the bombs fell, knocking out all communication and most life.
Since he worked up to the job of DJ from the position of sound engineer, he
had the abilities necessary to repair the antenna, and eventually found the
one satellite he could beam his station to--comsat. He made friends with
the sattelite and got it to beam his station to any working reciever, on
most frequencies. With complete control of the airwaves, Hazmat uses his
ironic mutation--he needs no sleep whatsoever, so devote all 24 hours of
every day to using his station, now mobile and on top of his semi, to
bringing the most exclusive interviews, live road war commentary, punctuated
with rockin' heavy metal to anyone with a working radio, regardless of risk.
His most notable achievements to date are an exclusive interview with Micah
Flaxton, the radio drama co-produced by The Director and Cole Ballad, and
his infamous "is your water hot" prank call to Silas Rasmussen.
Of course, I think it'd be a bunch of fun to have one of those internet
radio stations and actually do this--convince people to help me make fake
interviews, listeners calling in, commercials, and the like. Y'know, an
advertisement for one of the Director's movies here, an interview with, say,
a templar recruiter there, and funny calls from people in the HOE
universe--both famous(or infamous) characters and other random callers.
So, what do you think?
