As I understand it, a doubletap is basically the same as a burst from a
fully automatic weapon. That is, a success on the to-hit roll gets you one
hit, a raise gets you two. Also, if you do get two hits, they hit the same
target, but the exact location is determined separately for each bullet.
The only difference from a burst is, there is only two bullets rather than a
cluster of three.
Both a double-action and a semiautomatic pistol can doubletap. This is what
the two shots (ROF 2) means. Unfortunately, the two shots listed does not
mean you can make two separate shots. You can never roll to hit twice on
the same action, regardless of whether it is a single shot or a doubletap
(The only case I can think of that allows two hit rolls on one action is
when firing a weapon with a ROF of 6+). Your choices when firing on any
particular action are either a) a single shot, or b) a doubletap.
