Ghost Dancers was written for first edition before the Grit cap.The
recommendation since Revised has been to use "colored" Grit for things
dependent on having more than 5 Grit. I *THINK* the first book to come out
after the Revised books hit as The Agency: MiBD, but I'm not sure about
that. It may have been Hexarcana. I know the original splatbooks were,
obviously, for first edition, so when reading them bear that in mind. 5 Grit
is indeed the highest it can go and still do anything for you, but if the
character is already at 5 when he kills a Diablo you could always make a
house rule that such a source will give you Grit that does count, but
personally I wouldn't. If they're enough of a thorn in the side of the
Reckoners, they're likely to get a visit before they reach 5.
