This isn't a movie, but if you can get your hands on a trade paperback of
the Batman storyline No Man's Land, it's an excellent read and you really
get a feel for the sort of mood people would be in. Gotham has been sundered
from the mainland of the U.S. by a major earthquake and declared no longer
part of the United States. The criminals have escaped from Arkham and
they've divded the city of amongst themselves. There's a great bit with
Gordon and Two-Face. Just read it and see. You'll love it.

Hi all,
Just cause this is the third or fourth time ive seen this mentioned (not just here, but elsewhere) in the past couple months, im gonna second this one. Actually, if you can pick up the Cataclysm and NoMan'sLand Graphic Novels (yeah, that's six) and the novel, it really does set a solid tone for post-apocalyptic set-ups.

and hell, it's batman. i think just makes it cool.
