"Visual ECM" could be a smoke grenade. OK, it ain't
really Electronic, but it is a countermeasure. A
flash-bang grenade is the same principal applied in a
different way. The Predator thing works too, but it's
a lot more complicated.
I know of at least one game system (Shadowrun) that
does make a distinction between invisibility and
illusions that affect only living creatures, and those
that affect cameras and electronic sensors. Maybe
that's what is driving some of this. In that case, I'd
ask for specifcs on who/what is affected beforehand
and just try to work around it until a situation comes
up in the game that creates a problem.
Example - Night Scopes. It's an eyeball looking
through an electronic enhancement. Is it affected?
It's good to know before someone blows your head off.
