[pbmserv-dev] help with a game: Plakoto

Hello Developers, (I hope this is what this list is for)

I have written a game called Plakoto. It had a minor bug in it but now
it appears to work. The only problem I have is not really a bug but a
question about programming. For the game of Plakoto, I used the Backgammon
modules and changed them slightly. The thing is that Plakoto does not use
a bar; when you hit an enemy blot, you do not send it to the bar, instead
you trap the enemy blot 'under' your man. As long as the blot is trapped,
it cannot move. Now the thing is, I attempted to remove the bar variable
from the program; I removed all references to the bar variable from both
the plakoto.h file as well as from plakoto.cpp. Yet when I did that, the
program repeatedly crashed. It compiled correctly without any errors after
I removed the bar variable but would crash. Can anyone give me any idea of
what I am doing wrong? I guess I could just leave the variable in, it never
gets used, but that is a waste of space in the program. If you wish to see
the code, just ask. Thanks for any help.
