RE: [pbmserv-dev] The "debate" over graphics
May I see it too simple, but keep a database of the people at are online.
If the players are forced to login to see their boards and make moves if
they want to use web
it is a simple unix command to make that list.
Then you can send a popup message to the 2 second player waiting.
Saying there is a new move made on board xxx it is now the turn of player
xxxx.
Of course you can keep the whole play by email the same,
the only thing is that you have to add an extra html feature.

Subject: [pbmserv-dev] The "debate" over graphics
The only problem I've been wrestling wiTh is... let's assume two players
of the same board are both online... how do I "notify" the 2nd player
that that board has been updated without him having to either check his
mail (a pain for him), or repeatedly query the server for the new board
(a pain for me)? Ideas gratefully accepted, but I suspect some
java/daemon widget... Which would complicate the above design immensely.
