If anyone knows how to convince Yahoo mail to use a proper fixed width font let me know. I have yet to get it fixed ever since I went to the new interface.
A long time ago, I got rid of Yahoo - just too many annoyances. Unfortunately, that also means I don't have a "test account" I can use to check some of these things. As to the fixed-width business, Yahoo's help says:

Q. How do I switch between a variable width and fixed width font?

A. To change between variable and fixed width (an option in "Group by Topic" view only), click Show Message Info at the top right of the message (just below the time stamp). Then click Use Fixed-Width Font or Use Variable-Width Font as needed.

Someone else suggested:

Click on "Options" at the top-right of the screen. Select "Mail Options". On the
options page, make sure you're on "General" and look to the right for "Plain
text font". "Courier" is a fixed-width font. If you select that, it should help.

Maybe one of those things could help. If either of these will allow you to SEND email in fixed width, try sending a test message to yourself, then examine the full message source code to see if some kind of header line or mark-up tag is setting the font. If so, maybe that could be put into the emails that the PBM server sends.
