ben complains (sorry)
as always, i hate to complain about the free server, but i thought i'd point
something out: in all the chess variants, the default option is to have the
server show the board w/ your side 'down' (altho you can turn it off if you
want, i think most people are most comfortable reading it this way). it's
this way for the shogi variants too. it's this way for some other games
too: octi, breakthrough and koan come to mind. yet this option is not
available for xiangqi. player one is always down, so player two has to read
the board 'upside down.' i don't know anything about programming, so i
don't know how much work it would be for somebody to put it in. other games
that would benefit from it (that currently don't have the option) are
chinesecheckers, borderline, and tactics.
