I finally figured this out.  The link comes from some but not all the game
descriptions themselves.  Unfortunately my favorite Zertz is not one of the
descriptions from which there is a link (when I need the link, I tend to go
via the backgammon page not because I play backgammon but because it is near
the top).

commands help file, and I think there's just no link.  The page I want is 
at http://www.gamerz.net/pbmserv/commands.html but unless I'm deluded, 
there isn't a link to it from the main Pbmserv page.  I think there should 
be.
