I had suggested something like this a long time ago. 
It got nitpicked for a while, then no one programmed
it.  My thought was to have a Champion in each of the
game categories, that was based automatically on
standings.  So there would be a Chess Champion, Gammon
Champion, Territory Champion, CONNECTION Champion,
etc.

I originally suggested using ratings in games, but I
would suggest the actual standings be used.  Number of
games played and variety should be taken into account.

However, I wouldn't waste time discussing it unless
there's someone willing to code an idea of this kind.
