IMO, Although this particular piece may be romantic fiction as opposed to
cold hard facts, it is very close to (and probably better than) the facts in
many cases, for many people it takes something to tug at their heartstrings
to get them to think and hopefully act so although this is certainly not a
flame, I do not agree that it is a waste of emotion. PETA and like groups
can use this type of material just as easily as the real stories to do their
business so I wouldn't consider it unnecessary fuel for their cause. Kelly

Cold hard information that is probably very valid. The message is, keep the
romantic fiction in its place and separate it from the real world. The key
is
to know which is which.
