Re: [PyrNet-L] invisible fencing

We have an invisible fence, installed 3 years ago. It keeps our bitch in
as long as the battery is full charge and there is no deep snow covering
the wire. When the battery needs charging she will go through it. Our
sire will cross it occasionally, but usually stays in unless he determines
there is a very definite threat on the other side, then he goes through
without a hesitation. It doesn't keep out the neighbors dogs and it's not
intended to, nor does it keep out the deer, rabbits, etc that our Pyrs
consider intruders. The fences could well be quite effective in a suburban
area where no other critters abound. Only so-so out in the country.
