Kerry, we've wondered about that! A ranger at a reservation we've gone to
since Paddington was a puppy suggested that he might be more likely to
need to exert dominance over the breeds that he perceives as
"predatory"--some of the sporting breeds and hounds, for example--and we
do seem to see something of a pattern there. Any space he's been to fairly
often does become part of "his" territory to protect!
