[PyrNet-L] Re: MOVIE: "A Couch In New York", Great Pyrenees

Well, gang, I watched the movie "A Couch In New York" yesterday. I assumed
when I watched it for myself that I would then have THE ANSWER to the
question: is Romeo a Great Pyrenees or a Golden Retriever. Well, this is a
humbling experience .....do I say what I really think? Will they send men in
white coats after me if I do? Or blacklist me from the pyr lists? Well, here
goes..........
As near as I can figure out this dog Romeo is a real Shapeshifter and not
your normal Houdini-type that some of us refer to when swapping pyr escape-
artist stories, either. This guy is really GOOD at it!! The movie starts out
and he looks like a Golden Retriever for sure ..........few scenes later he
looks like a blonde Golden Retriever........Few more scenes and he looks like
a much more shaggy fluffy blonde Golden Retriever........ then a few scenes
later and it's definitely a Pyrenees/Golden Retriever cross, no doubt about
it........ then a few scenes later that's a Great Pyrenees, but someone must
have trimmed it (FOR SHAME!) ...... then it's a pyr with it's shaved coat
growing out...... then it's definitely a pyr, but not nearly as fluffy and
thick a coat as usual pyr......... I think it could be a Great Pyrenees, but
not near as nice looking as my sweetie Albert. Course I couldn't be
prejudiced. This is no prize-winning pyr, in my humble opinion. And I'm
totally baffled as to why it's looks change so throughout the film. Maybe I
belong on that shrink's couch in the movie, but I can't believe this dog was
just one dog. Maybe that's why he wasn't mentioned in the credits!!! Bunch
of different dogs in tiny bit parts all edited together throughout the film??
Or maybe we've stumbled upon the reason that the dog's psychiatrist was
mentioned in the credits!!!! SPLIT PERSONALITY!!!! Think I may have stumbled
on the real answer!!! He does go by at least two names in the movie, too!!
Whoever or whatever he is - he was very enjoyable to watch!!! I even ordered a
copy of the movie after watching the one I rented.
I'm truly baffled & I don't admit that often. Think it's probably time to
call in Scully & Muldaur to solve this Shapeshifter mystery!!!

P.S: Anyone else share my feelings after seeing it? The truly baffled love &
need company, for sanity's sake!!!
