Look some time at the "turned mean" dogs and see how many of them are hand or
foot shy or even broom shy.  I don't have much experience here, but some
limited over the years of dogs I have taken in and conversations I have had
with others.  Now before someone gets all bent out of shape I am not implying
anything particular about a previous post.  Just an observation.  PLease, take
it only as that.
