Re: [PyrNet-L] Biting Pyr

I have a question as I have been reading (and responding) to this post.
Everyone has responded that people cannot "just walk into their house" and
the dogs bark like crazy when someone knocks on the door. Noah doesn't do
this (thank God). Now he barks like crazy if I'm out in the yard and
someone approaches but when he's inside he could care less. People walk in
and out all the time (primarily kids) and he usually just cocks his head up
to see who it is and then "resting time" again. He doesn't bark when
someone is at the door. Is it his temperment or is it the fact that since
we got him at 8 weeks we've had a rather busy household and people coming
and going is normal for him? Now, he isn't always like this as once when we
were walking a man he hadn't seen for a while startled us: he growled,
lunged, and snapped but never bit--so I know he has it in him.
What is your opinion--maybe he's so happy to be inside that he doesn't want
to "make any wave" and have to go out? VBG
