I really dislike the term, just a pet or only a pet...

Folks just because you do not show or breed it does not make your dog 
any less valuable, a dog that is a pet has the biggest, most important, 
full time job that any animal (besides an assitance dog) could have.
Having a wonderful tempermented animal that you can share your life with 
is the *most* important thing in the world of dogs...!!!
***PLEASE*** do not think of your *pets* as just pets!...think of them 
as being something more important then *just* a showdog.
