[PyrNet-L] Klondike,come!

Hi Becky & Klondike!  Great to have you aboard.  My husband was rolling on the floor with tears streaming down his face when he read the part of your message about couch dragging, etc.  I thought I was going to have to administer CPR because he was laughing so hard.  He really sympathized with the "power steering" needed.  Besides Heidi, we have a Samoyed who is 70 lbs. of pure energy & thinks we need lots of exercise on walks.  He obliges us in a similar manner to your Klondike.

As far as the COME command, I'm no expert so can only tell you what our trainer says & what I've so far experienced.  Our trainer said that she would never let a dog off leash except in an enclosed area or, if the dog is a working dog,ie: show dog or shepherd, in the working environment.  She has Collie who is very well-behaved, has won best of show three times & does hospice work. He is 4 yrs. old but she will not let him off leash when he's not working.  As for the command & Pyrs, from reading & personal experience I have found that Pyrs take their good old time about responding. They have to think over each command before executing it.  Just my thoughts on the subject & of course, heresay.  Good luck with Klondike, he sounds terrific!!!

Wish you well.. Woof, Woof
