Pyrs have a white coat and are able reflect the heat better than a black dog. However, I would make sure the airline keeps the dog in the shade. You can arrange ahead of time to buy a crate from the airlines. However, I would probably get the crate a head of time. We do not sedate our Pyrs. Good luck! Ruth (Who lives in a giant refrigerator!)
