She is all white and is 10 weeks old, birthday is
August 6th.  Actually she is a cousin of the Pyrs
called a Polish Tatra Sheepdog.  Everyone thinks she
is a Pyr when they see her (if the know what a pyr
is, that is!!).  We have a good friend who rescues
Pyrs, his name is Scott Cook.  Outside of the lips
being a bit tighter, and a bit thinner and oilyer
coat they are more alike than anything else.  Laid
back as adults and all.  Her name is Szarotka which
is Polish for Edelweiss a flower that grows in the
mountains where she is from.  Her parents were hand
carried from Poland to Wa State.  She is now 16.2
pounds.  Last evening she discovered a toad and what
a trip!!  She would nose it, and then follow it, then
nose it again.  Tail up and alert.  She likes to
steal my older sons dirty socks, he works as a Tree
surgeon while attending college so I am sure the
socks smell "yummy".  The funniest thing she has done
was the other night.  She is learning her
housebreaking and we were out in the yard.  OUr
Weimeraner who is 12, came out too and was moseying
about.  Well he must have heard a noise and he
sounded the "dam the torpedoes" bark.  Well she stood
alert, tail in the air, ears forward and then
backward and did an elbows and tail charge and dive
through the doggie door.  Mind you she normally
doesn't use the doggie door yet.  So she fell through
it and tumbled out the other side.  What a scene, if
I only had the camcorder!!!
