Oh golly. Anyone who had a grasp on behavioral and dominance problems and HAD the
kind of expertise you're talking about would recommend he be put down. That's just
it-people who are experiened with this sort of thing already KNOW the safest thing is to put
him down. He's a time bomb.
I gather David at Pyr rescue advised you to put him down after you adopted him from the
other family and you wanted to work with him instead? There's not an "expert" trainer or
rescue club anywhere in the US who would tell you to "keep working with a dog" that has
attacked you.
I'm sorry, but that's why you're not able to get "support". Because there's no support for
something like this. If an owner continues to ignore advice to euthanize an aggressive 100 lb
dog, then we can't offer any kind of advice-there IS no sane advice except to put him down.
I'm not flaming you either, I understand you love him. But what kind of bond can there be
with no trust? He's dangerous. I hope you'll come to terms with this and do the responsible
thing before he kills someone's dog or attacks someone's kid.
Ok. Now I need more coffee.
