Melissa, That is why I research some barking problems on the internet. I'm sure that surgical debarking and electric shocks are not the only way. There seemed to be a whole lot of ideas on how to accomplish getting a dog to stop barking. I can only assume that the methods must have worked or otherwise they would not be printed. I hope that maybe some of them can be of help. Dave
