Joe, thanks for the info. It is rather as I had expected.  I could not
quite see a Pyr. being totally human friendly, to a human  approaching
his flock.  After all, people can steal or kill sheep too, and then that
would negate what he was there to do.  To me that would just be a dog
doing his job.

I will be sure to look up Patou's journal, when  I can hit the internet (
I only have E-mail ), but from what everyone seems to be saying, it is
worth reading.
