Catie, I really think the elevated tables are a matter of choice, but we
have always used them at least for the food dishes for all our really
large to giant breeds.  They seem to like it, but I am sure that's also a
matter of what they get used to.  I try to think of what's most natural
to the dog.  If they were in the wild they would be eating animals of
different sizes and their heads would be at all different elevations (
legs, shoulders etc. ).  So I am sure that whatever you do it really is
