Re: [PyrNet-L] Greetings again!

Hello and Welcome to the Van Wey family!! I have a rescue Pyr....Maggie. I
have had her, or she has owned ME for 5 1/2 years now. She is wonderful
with all of us..even my 1 1/2 year old Granddaughter. I also watch a 6 year
old "Dennis the Menace" everyday after school and she is great with him!!
The only problem I had with Maggie in the begining was with my teenage son.
Must have been the age/attitude thing.

The good side of Rescue is they are older and usually potty trained and not
so much of the puppy stages. House wrecking, chewing, etc. At least with
Maggie (she was 11 months old when we got her). The downside would be the
funny puppy stuff that you would miss. Maggie was also spayd when she came.

This was my experience with a Rescue Pyr. Maybe I was lucky to get such a
"Great" one!!!
Good luck and enjoy your Pyr....regardless of which way you decide to go!!
Joy McCarron (Maggie's Mom)
