Hi Marcia, Our pyr, Bear, sleeps in our room in his kennel at night and 
chooses to take naps in there during the day.  It was expensive but I 
believe it was worth it. During the day (3 days a week)I take him to my 
dance studio and he watches the kids and me dance. He could stay in the 
garage but I like him with me. Keep working on solutions and maybe you can
