[PyrNet-L] Weekend

Just sitting down after returning from the weekend.  Lots of things went
wrong but it turned
out to be a good weekend anyway.  The check engine light came on
halfway up to Rhode
Island so I worried about that all weekend.  We stayed at a great hotel
in Warwick with the
two dogs and were told that they have dog shows there.  The grounds were
spacious &
beautiful.  They didn’t tell us about the sprinkler system when they
said we could walk the
dogs anywhere on the grounds :)  We missed getting sprinkled but our
feet certainly got
soggy!

We made it to the IWANE Match which was really nice.  Ciaran was tested
for his CGC and
passed!  He got the nicest ribbon he’s ever gotten.  It was great to see
other list members.
We evehn met a Great Pyrenees owner who is interested in getting a
rescue Wolfhound.
Anais got tatood.  Boy did she fight!  About as much as she fought
having her nails clipped
last week, so I think it was being held down rather than the tatooing
that she objected  to.

We got to the end of the PFNE Match and met some really nice people
there.  Ciaran (IW)
won a prize for the best costume (he tied for 1st place out of two
entries.) Anais got to play
with a puppy that was a match for her.  He looked the same size but I
was told he was a
month younger.  He treated her the way she treats Ciaran, jumping on her
& playing hard!
She didn’t seem to quite know how to take him, which was interesting
because it was just
what she does to Ciaran, but she had a good time.  It was nice to get to
talk to some
knowledgable people!  I learned that the markings that are coming out on
her head and back
are called “biscuit.”

We didn’t get to the Vineyard to see my cousin because of a threatened
ferry strike, but
overall the weekend was great!
