[PyrNet-L] The great imitators

Charlottes description of the obedience class of Pyrs had
me hysterical. They are truly great observers, but I had
fogotten the following until my husband recounted Cajun and
the swimming pool to friends this weekend.

Our new house has an in-gound pool, and Ed and I were concerned
about Cajun falling in and not knowing how to get out. She
hates the water, so we knew she would not voluntarily go in, but
accidents do happen. So we thought we would show her how to
get out via the stairs on the shallow end. She refused to be
coaxed into the water, so Ed picked her up and dropped her
into the deep end while I stood at the shallow end and called
her to me.

She hit the water and as soon as she surfaced, she make an
immediate left, swam to the ladder, and climbed out. She obviously
had seen us use the ladder to get out, and just followed our
example.

Neither Ed or I could stop laughing. Needless to say, we don't
worry about this anymore.
