[PyrNet-L] dewclaws/entropia

No reason what so ever to remove the double dewclaws. Part of the Breed
Standard and should remain there. On the other hand has anyone out there
managed to breed puppies with single dewclaws such as I have done and if so,
why does this happen?? I seem to be the only one in this country over the
years who has managed this but I don't think I'm alone on this one. I don't
have a problem with missing dewclaws at all, it's just one of those things
but I'd like to know why? Doesn't even follow that it's in a bloodline.
As for the entropia, most certainly seek a second opinion on this one and in
the meantime just gently massage the lower lids at the corners with your
thumbs to stop them rolling in. If infact the problem is entropia then
corrective treatment is necessary but by a specialist as the others have
already said. I have seen eye surgery done by "butchers" which has required
further extensive, expensive surgery after a lot of damaged scar tissue.
Puppies eyes can take a while to develop, teething can cause staining, dust
and wind can cause discharge so get all these things checked by an expert.
Let your Breeder know too if the entropia is confirmed.
