Jan, your supposed to soak broccoli in salt water before washing and
cooking to get all these big caterpillars out.  My mother-in-law didn't do
this and when she cooked it caterpillars were everywhere in the stewer. 
They didn't know what they were so they ate the broccoli and the
caterpillars.  <g> I thought this was very funny.  One way to get meat
protein with the vitamins.
