When I got my first pyr, I had a mix lab/shep mix Kelly.  She was 11 when I
got him and really became his mom/best friend/teacher/playmate.  Quite often
over the
next 3 years I would video them playing in the house or yard, and one time I
caught them howling in the den.

About 6 months after Kelly had passed on, I was brave enough to watch the video.

Kelly was always a 'talker' and the whole tape was filled with her yacking
away.  Bear
was down the hall in another room and I swear the minute he heard her on the
tape he
came running in the room all excited, tail wagging and looking.

I was stunned, he really was excited and looked at the tv for what seemed like
hours.
For the rest of the day was very quiet and down.    Many mixed emotions, and I
realized
that he really missed her still.
