Re: [PyrNet-L] Hurricane Floyd

<<One thing has come out of the APEC Conference in New Zealand, the
resuming of the armed forces exercises with the USA,Aust and NZ so great so
see the ANZUS Pact reformed, we called it the ANUS Pact when NZ withdrew
some years ago!! A bit of light relief to take my mind off my little Megan
who only made one request of me last time she was on leave, "Please keep
Arthur (he's 10) safe until I come home again." I'll do my best and hope you
all keep safe with Floyd on the way. >>Jan

Well, I am back on deck after 4 days on sunny Queensland's Sunshine Coast
doing the 'family thing' and thinking of those of you faced with Floyd. I
am so glad to be living 'down south' out of the way of mother nature's
spinning fury's. That is one part of the 'tropical north' I do not miss!

Jan, all the best for Megan. These situations are not fun and this one is a
little close to home - right on our doorstep. Glad to see NZ has returned to
the ANZUS fold though! :-) (and trust you to bring up that joke!! LOL!). I
work for Defence here in Aust and know how hard it can be to wave off
friends and families for parts and situations unknown. At least in previous
jobs I could play a part in ensuring their wellbeing. Am feeling a little
'ineffective' at the moment as all I can do is write about it! (I write
speeches for the Defence Minister :-/).

Don't worry Jan, she will come back safely - all you need to worry about is
Aurthur! Got enough cotton wool?? LOL!
