   A couple months ago or so I was miserably sick with
a migraine.  I was throwing up, and laying on the
bathroom floor 'cause moving to the bed was to painful
and I would have just had to come back again.  My
husband tries to be sympathatic but the the sound of
throwing up makes him ill.  My pyr, Jake on the other
hand, after sniffing around trying to understand what
was happening, just laid down beside me on the floor. 

   Jake is amazingly attunded to me.  When I come home
from work, or in the mornings Jake always sniffs me
for a while.  I use to think he was trying to be sure
I was really me.  After what I've read about dogs
scent abilities and watching Jake, I've decided he is
giving me a physical.  He will adapt his energy level
and attitude to the way I'm feeling.  If I'm not
feeling well he usually sticks close to me and is very
quiet.
