When do puppies begin barking? My 4 1/2-month-old puppy Rosie does not bark 
at anything outside, but she does when she is playing with my older dog. The 
older dog, a Pryr/Lab mix, diligently does her watchdog duties, and I 
assumed that Rosie would jump right in, especially after all the  messages 
on this list regarding the amount of barking Pyrs do.
