Just think of a Rhodesian Ridgeback that is bred to hunt Lions.  Their
standard (FCI) calls for heights and weights as follows:

SIZE - The desirable heights are:
Dogs 63cm (25ins) to 69cm (27ins)
Bitches 61cm (24ins) to 66cm (26ins)

WEIGHT - The desirable weights are:
Dogs 36.5kg (80lbs)
Bitches 32 kg (70lbs)

This is not big by Pyr standards - but their agility is an important factor.
After all, if the dog can't dodge out of the way quick enough, its kitty
food! LOL!
