I have seen blue-eyed pups, adult versions, and adults which I believe were
probably blue-eyed because of the adult eye color. I have not heard of or
seen deafness, but I am not the final authority here, just passing on
experience. You need to put the color of blue in your mind that I am
talking about--this is not the bright husky blue--it is dark blue/gray.

Please do not miss-interpret my comments here as a confessional of breeding
blue-eyed litters. We have never had a blue-eyed litter. I have been in
the Pyr world since the early '60, a member of the GPCA since 1974, and a
former board of director of the national club. My mom was on both standard
revision committees. I am sharing knowledge and experience.

(having re-read the above, it comes off defensive--guess I'm just gun-shy
from years of the dog-world rumor mill. Forgive me, and does anyone still
have any chocolates..................?????)
