Hello Jan! Yes, daddy was a real piece of work!!! But Beau is slowly
starting to recover from his rocky start in life. He is a really big boy! I
have him up to 114 pounds and am still working on putting weight on him. He
is unusually tall for his breed and we think he will eventually top out at
about 140 pounds. His stomach and tail were pretty badly matted up when he
came into rescue and had to be shaved. So his coat looks a little funky
right now! LOL! But we brush him frequently and he goes to the doggie beauty
parlor once a month. So he is looking better all the time. My vet put him on
Clomicalm for the separation anxiety and it is making a difference. He also
graduated from basic obedience school last month. He graduated second in his
class! And he is just the sweetest boy in the world! So loving and
protective and so good with my four year old son. He also gets along great
with our smaller dog, our three cats, and our two parrots. Most of the time
he is a big white throw rug! And we love him dearly!
