Re: [PyrNet-L] Pyrless Pieces of Dreams, 1988-2000...
Karen,
I've had to wait a week to send you my condolences for your huge loss of your
beloved Shelly. There's just no way to say how sorry we are. I know you
probably don't remember me. We've met a few times, once a t PFNE fun match,
I think and at Somerset last fall. My name is Matty and I was with Denise
Vallauri and Janet and Nicole. I asked you to point out Barbare Bowes for me
so that we could introduce ourselves.
While at Westminster, Janet told us how you had a few "Rescues" Janet would
be transporting and she then told us why you weren't able to go to the show.
We thought about you all weekend and prayed for you and for Shelly. I
remembered how attached you son was to Shelley and how good he was about
walking the dogs so early in the morning at Somerset.
Last Thursday, I went down to Andover, MA to see a "replacement" bitch Sue
Priestly was fostering. Her name is Rosie and her owners had divorced and
couldn't keep her anymore. Nicole thought she and I might hit it off and
boy, did we! She's been with us since that day and it's like she's been here
always. On Friday, Janet called and told me that you'd lost poor Shelly. My
heart goes out to you and it's especially meaningful, since I was graced with
my "Rosie" at the same time. I'll always think of Rosie as a special gift
that I received as you were having to part with yours.
Shelly was much more than a spcial gift to you and your son. She's been and
will always be a special gift to all the families who are blessed with the
"Rescues" you place.
Denise asked that I send you her condolences with mine. Our hearts go out to
you.
Matty Costa
