Hello Darlene,

I have had two hot spots with my pyr Beau. In both cases the spot was shaved to cut down on irritation and to help the spot dry up and heal. And my vet gave me a topical spray called "ChlorhexiDerm" to spray on the spot several times a day. This cleared it up beautifully! I hope this helps.
